Silk Sonic drops their debut album "An Evening With Silk Sonic": A Magnificent Tribute to 70s Soul

The American R&B duo Silk Sonic, composed of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak, has dropped their debut studio album “An Evening with Silk Sonic”, by Aftermath Entertainment and Atlantic Records.

Silk Sonic is a flawless, synchronous union of artists that have proven since March - when they first released ‘Leave The Door Open’; their first luscious retro feel single from the album - that they have a great bond in music, chemistry, and admiration for each other.

The album includes nine magical tracks, that are packed with joy and romance, sparked with a 70s soul vibe, originated from the unique music flair and harmony of the duo's creative minds.

Most of "An Evening with Silk Sonic" revives the sound of 70s bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, The Spinners, The Manhattans, The Chi-Lites.

Mars and Paak alternate, offering gritty and acrobatic lead vocals and layering elaborate backups: velvety backing harmonies, quick back-and-forth, and lively falsetto choruses. This is a true example of when talent, friendship, and passion for different sounds and life, meet and produce effortless, beautiful, and timeless music.
