Dapz remains innovative with shinobi Part 2

birmingham has always been a powerful force within grime, and Dapz on the map is one of the city's front runners. The original shinobi freestyle dropped on his own channel 4 years ago, and now he's following up with a part 2.

With Thomas Mellor on the buttons (The wizard that produced "Froggy"), the obscure melodies work well with dapz' flow, because it gives him so much freedom.

The lyrics are retrospective, with dapz reflecting on times of personal hardship, losing faith in his ability to make it as a grime mc, and persevering despite that with his pride as an MC and a father.

Despite the tone of the track, he still has plenty of quotable lyrics such as "one step at a time but two steps ahead", almost flaunting the fact that even whilst working at his own pace, you could never keep up with him.
